Accessibility at Memory Fractal

Memory Fractal is a project-based artwork created for use across digital, Mixed Reality, and in-person settings. We aim to make the project accessible to as many people as reasonably possible within the scope of each format.

Website

This website is designed to work across different devices, browsers, and screen sizes, and can be accessed without downloading or installing any software. We aim to follow WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards where applicable.

Mixed Reality & Digital Works

The Mixed Reality elements of Memory Fractal are designed as guided, facilitated experiences.

The virtual experience is designed so that interaction can be reduced where access needs arise. Digital objects can appear in automatic rotation when button-based interaction is difficult. Visitors are encouraged to experience the work together, allowing accompanying individuals to support participants within the Mixed Reality environment. Audio levels are set for clarity, and visual elements are designed to be bright and clearly defined, including for participants with visual impairments.

The duration of the experience is flexible. Participants can take part for a shorter or longer period and decide for themselves when they are finished, based on comfort, interest, or access needs.

Workshops & Community Sessions

Memory Fractal workshops are adapted to the needs of each group and setting. Participation does not require prior technical knowledge, and sessions are designed to be flexible, supportive, and responsive to participants' access needs.

If you have specific access requirements or questions about engaging with any part of Memory Fractal, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.
